I got an email this morning which announced the death of Estelle Getty who
played Sophia Petrillo on The Golden Girls.
She was 84 years old.
I absolutely love The Golden Girls - I even had to get Series 4-7 imported from
the US as they didn't release it here in the UK.
Estelle could have me chuckling like mad at some of the things she got up
to as Sophia and I am saddened to hear of her passing.
She was wonderful as an actress and so caring as a person.
